FMSI is offering services based on OpenBSD/FreeBSD/NetBSD
Published: 15/May/2009
With more than 10 years offering services and hardware based on
GNU/Linux, now FMSI adds another powerful system: BSD, in their Open
Source variants OpenBSD, FreeBSD and NetBSD.
Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD, sometimes called Berkeley
Unix) is the UNIX operating system derivative developed and
distributed by the Computer Systems Research Group of the University
of California, Berkeley, from 1977 to 1995. Today, the term of "BSD"
is often non-specifically used to refer to any of these BSD
descendants, e.g. FreeBSD, NetBSD or OpenBSD, which together form a
branch of the family of Unix-like operating systems [Wikipedia].
It's very well known by its powerful capabilities, reliability and
high security. It has a wide range of server applications and systems
for every day computing on any company, specially web server,
storage, and firewall uses.
